Built by engineers,
for engineers

Embold started with a simple belief: every development team deserves access to the kind of code quality tooling that was once only available to the world's largest technology companies.

Embold team

Helping teams ship code they're proud of

We founded Embold because we'd seen firsthand how technical debt silently accumulates — slowing releases, frustrating engineers, and eventually threatening entire products. We believed that with the right tooling, this was entirely preventable.

Embold combines deep static analysis with developer-friendly presentation. Instead of overwhelming teams with thousands of findings, Embold prioritises what matters most and delivers explanations that actually help engineers understand and fix the problem.

Today Embold is part of BrowserStack, delivered as an on-premise Enterprise deployment so that analysis runs entirely inside our customers' own infrastructure — and our mission continues with even greater resources and reach.

What we believe in

Developer first

Tools should help developers, not audit them. Every design decision we make starts with the question: does this make engineers' lives better?

Honest engineering

We don't oversell. We build tools that work, communicate clearly when something doesn't, and continuously improve based on real feedback.

Security by design

Your code is your IP. Embold is deployed entirely on-premise, so your source never leaves your own infrastructure — with rule coverage mapped to MISRA, CERT, AUTOSAR C++14 and 225 CWE identifiers for teams that have to prove it.

Embold + BrowserStack

Now part of BrowserStack

BrowserStack acquired Embold to bring static code analysis into the world's most comprehensive software quality platform. Together, we cover the full development lifecycle — from the first line of code to production testing at scale.
