1. What this notice covers
This notice describes how personal data is handled when you visit embold.io — the Embold marketing website, including this page, the product, pricing, company, partners and contact pages.
It does not cover:
- The Embold product itself. Embold Enterprise is deployed on your own infrastructure. Source code, analysis results and user accounts inside an on-premise deployment stay on your systems; we do not receive them through this website.
- Your BrowserStack account and the BrowserStack platform. Those are covered by the BrowserStack Privacy Policy.
- Other sites we link to, including docs.embold.io and browserstack.com, each of which publishes its own notice.
2. Who is responsible for your data
Embold is part of BrowserStack. BrowserStack is the controller for the personal data described in this notice. Full identification details for the operator of this site are on our legal notice page.

3. What this website collects
This is a static website. It runs no analytics, no advertising tags and no tag manager, and it asks you for nothing. Two categories of data arise:
Server logs
Like any web server, the server that delivers embold.io records each request. Those records include your IP address, the date and time, the page or file requested, the HTTP status returned, the referring page where the browser sends one, and your browser and operating system user-agent string.
These logs are used only to deliver the site, to keep it available and to investigate abuse or technical faults. They are not used to build a profile of you and are not combined with any other data set.
Email you send us
The contact page offers email addresses rather than a form. If you write to support@browserstack.com or to any other address listed on this site, we receive whatever you choose to put in that message — typically your name, email address, employer and the substance of your enquiry — and we use it to answer you.
4. Cookies and browser storage
This website sets no cookies. It writes nothing to localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB or the cache storage API. Because no information is stored on or read from your device beyond what is strictly necessary to transmit the page you requested, no consent is required under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, and no consent banner is shown.

5. Who receives your data
Every font, script, stylesheet and image on this site is served from embold.io itself. Loading a page on this site causes no request to any third-party server, so no third party sees your IP address as a result of visiting us.
Beyond that:
- Our hosting provider processes server logs on our behalf under a data processing agreement.
- Our email provider processes any message you send us, on the same basis.
- Nobody else. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising or profiling.
BrowserStack publishes its sub-processor list for the wider platform.
6. Legal basis

7. International transfers
BrowserStack operates globally, so personal data may be processed outside the European Economic Area. Where it is, BrowserStack relies on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, as described in the BrowserStack Privacy Policy. A copy of the clauses is available on request from compliance@browserstack.com.
8. Your rights
If you are in the EEA or the UK, data protection law gives you the right to ask us for access to your personal data (Art. 15), to have it corrected (Art. 16) or erased (Art. 17), to restrict how we use it (Art. 18), to receive it in a portable form (Art. 20), and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21).
To exercise any of these, write to compliance@browserstack.com. We will respond within one month, as Article 12(3) requires.
You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority (Art. 77). You may complain to the authority in the country where you live or work, or to BrowserStack’s lead authority, the Irish Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
9. How long we keep things
- Server logs — kept only as long as needed for security and diagnostics, then deleted.
- Email correspondence — kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and to keep a record of it, then deleted in line with BrowserStack’s retention schedule.
There are no cookies or browser-storage entries to retain, because none are set.
10. Automated decision-making
This website performs no automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR.
11. Changes to this notice
We review this notice whenever the site changes and at least once a year. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last updated. Material changes will be flagged on this page.
embold.io is monitored by an automated scan that reports any new cookie, browser-storage key or third-party host appearing on the site, so that this notice cannot quietly fall out of date.
